PBS on Carter, Obama, and race

Former President Jimmy Carter created controversy recently when he said that some opposition to President Barack Hussein Obama is because he's Black.

This has been a catalyst for much debate and discussion, some of it enlightening and some of it contentious. I would like to blog on this more later, but for now I'll just link to what I thought was a good discussion of the issue on PBS's "Newhour."

Plus what I think should go down in history as one of the greatest speeches on race in America, Obama's "A More Perfect Union" speech, when then-candidate Obama as he addressed the issue himself in light of the Reverend Wright controversy.
