Birdie! Nice birdie!

CNN brings us the world of virtual golf, Korean style.

Apparently seven of ten golf simulators are sold in Korea, where "golf cafés" are a huge and growing hit with some three thousand of them dotting the country.

Well, with as little land as there is — and with the environmental destruction that goes along with a golf course — I suppose this is a good thing (unless virtual golf creates a greater demand for real golf).

But you know it's just a matter of time before there's a Virtual Golf Channel Korea on cable TV, just like there are multiple channels focusing on paduk (go).
