There are few things that unite South Koreans, and two of them are anger toward draft dodgers and opposition to drug use. It's much worse when the perpetrators of these acts are people in revered or privileged positions such as teachers, politicians, or celebrities.
So naturally people are upset — especially those who already took a detour from their life's path to fulfill their grueling military service — at the hundreds of people, including a famous singer and athletes, who are under investigation for having had their medical records doctored (heh heh) so they could avoid military duty.
