Kvetchpat of the day

I wonder how common it is to want to take a baseball bat to a parent.

That should be Kvetchpat of "days of yore." In today's world of instant massaging, (nit-)twits, "me" "me" memes, etc., you are showing your age grandpa. August 2008 was so like last millennia. I mean, there wasn't even like an ipad or Android. How did you old geezers even survive those dark ages?

    *sigh*...

The Sanity Inspector, I'm very sorry for your loss. I know many non-KoKos who saw their KoKo mother-in-law as an annoyance rather than as an asset, which does not seem to be the case with you.

My heart and my prayers go out to you and your family.

I'm not going to lie. I'm really hoping this becomes a feature at Monster Island.

I knew hadn't been working much, but I didn't realize he'd been exiled to a Korean hagwon classroom.

Man, while I don't know if that guy quite qualifies as a kvetchpat (imo, he's on the border), he does come across as creepy. If I saw that guy in the classroom... I don't know. Sure, that's an unfair judgement to make based on appearance alone, but man.

And after six years, he's still that large? You'd think his gotta-have-that-morning-cig habit alone would have lost him some weight.

Seriously, when I heard him constantly coughing on the video, I thought to myself, "Geez, is the air quality in South Korea so bad that everyone gets that hacking 'teacher's cough,' which I've been fortunate enough to avoid and forgot about in the clean air of Hawaii?" (We produce smog, but quickly blow it out to sea, you see.)

So I was actually relieved to see him pull out the cigarette and take a drag on it.

And I'm not even going to get into the whole "I came with no experience" and "I'm just gonna make my class fun" idea of the middle-aged newbie.

    Thanks, kushibo.

That's still a great word you've coined, Kvetchpat! I wish these clock-punchers would have a little more appreciation for what an adventure they've been handed.

Hard to appreciate a hellish adventure such as this one. It's also very recently dated.
