In anticipation of a probable loss in tomorrow's presidential election, Senator John McCain announced he has signed a deal to hawk $5 foot-longs for Subway.*
Update (Wednesday, November 5):
Obama wins.
* This would follow a tradition of vanquished Republican presidential candidates making money by becoming corporate product spokesmen in the private sector. You may recall that former Senator Bob Dole of Kansas, after going down to defeat by incumbent president Bill Clinton in 1996, began hawking $15 half-foot longs.
